Caring for your board

Our boards are finished with a food-grade beeswax and mineral oil paste to prevent drying and cracking. We call it Kaotic Builds Board Butter.

For light use, simply wipe it down with warm water.

For a deeper clean, hand wash with mild dish soap.

Never use a dishwasher, as it will strip the protective wax and dry out the board.

If your board looks dry or dull, you can order Kaotic Builds Board Butter or use food-grade mineral oil. The oil prevents cracking, and the beeswax seals the wood.

When reapplying board butter, ensure the board is completely dry to avoid trapping moisture, which can cause mold.
